Traditional medicine (TM) is the ancient and culture-bound medical practices, which have existed in human societies before the application of modern science through enabling factors like community resources and income. Ethiopians use traditional medicine to get relief from different health problems across different age groups. It is reported that more than 80 % of Ethiopians use traditional medicines.This study aimed to assess the prevalence and factors associated with parental traditional medicine use for children in Debre Tabor town. According to the world health organization (WHO), the global atlas of traditional, complementary, and alternative medicine report more accepted and complete information for health system focused on health care coverage and provision of safe, effective, affordable, and culturally acceptable health care delivery system is important on managing of citizens health problem. Unreasonable use of medicine is a major problem worldwide and estimated that greater than 50% of all medicines are prescribed or sold wrongly and half of all patients do not take them correctly. This contributes to a huge health and economic influence at individual and national levels
